Madeleine Doering Isom

mad_pressMadeleine Doering Isom is an artist-photographer residing in New York City. She received her undergraduate degrees in Liberal Arts from Loyola University of Chicago and the Sculpture Department from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, concurrently. She attended the Graduate School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation at Columbia University in New York. Working in sculpture, photography and architecture has given her a unique perspective transmitted through densely layered images of urban architecture and structural form. Her work has been featured in solo exhibitions in both New York City and Chicago as well as several group shows including The San Diego Art Institute’s 2001 International Exhibition. Palace of Fine Arts (San Francisco)-1st Part

palace-of-fine-arts-sanSan Francisco is a wonderful and amazing city. Just one of those surprises that gave us walking its streets, was to find how far the leadership that would lead us to this “Palace.” It is close to the Marina and the access to Golden Gate. World Trade Center

He has written frequently about architecture and cities for the Atlantic, New York Times, and Wall Street Journal, and he has received a Guggenheim Fellowship in support of his research and writing.
